Legal form

The DEAR Foundation Switzerland was established in 2006 as a Swiss foundation pursuant to Art. 80 ff. of the Swiss Civil Code (CC, in German: ZGB) with its legal domicile in Zug, Switzerland and offices near Zurich, Switzerland.

• The purpose of the foundation is to promote educational and social life and work and to support people in need
• The foundation is internationally active, has a non-profit character and is tax-exempt
• The financial resources of the foundation allow for specific, rapid, flexible and effective assistance
• The foundation's work does not compete with public institutions, but rather complements them by bridging gaps where necessary services are unavailable
